Shiralee (Shi-rah-lee) that's the name my Mum gave me, different I know! I'm Essex-born & bred and still living in the cottage that my children grew up in.
Stepping out...
Let me explain... In 2006, I began working for a Regional Newspaper, as a Photojournalist, reaching Senior Photographer working from the Billericay office.
In August 2019 The Newspaper closed its doors for the last time and went into liquidation.
Not wanting to continue in the Press World, I decided it was time to step out on my own and use my skills as a Photojournalist to specialise in Corporate, Commercial, and Personal Brand photography
Why I'm the Event Photographer for you...
Whether you are launching a new business, having a corporate drinks reception, hosting a conference, or a music festival, as a commercial event photographer, I can take stunning, natural 'fly-on-the-wall' photos for a permanent record of your event.
For these events, I dress appropriately in line with your event dress code, I mingle and melt into the background and your guests will hardly know I'm there yet you will have a range of candid photos to remember your occasion.
I am an experienced media photographer based in Essex, within easy reach of the M25 and London working across the South East and I'd love to hear from you if you'd like to discuss an event you're planning.
My style of photography is to use natural light wherever possible.
This means there are no limits to where I can photograph capturing the true feel and atmosphere of an event, if there is a need for lighting, I have that covered too as I have a battery-powered studio set up.
I couldn't say to the Queen... "Look at me and smile" - so I won't say it to you either!
I am a Professional Photographer with over three decades of experience, thirteen years of which worked as the Senior Photojournalist for a Regional Newspaper.
During this time I had the privilege to photograph all members of the Royal Family, most of the Prime Ministers and MP's, 1000's of children.

My life away from my camera
Horses have always been in my family's lives, the kids always had ponies and I have ridden since I was a kid too. Today I have an Ex-Racehorse called Bert.
They become a lifestyle. Everything in my daily life involves horses, and if you are horsey? you know exactly what I mean, every day starts at 5:30 am with coffee, and off to the yard.
