Lockdown goal lead to Winning Bronze

Lockdown photo challenge to myself

As a new goal for myself this year I decided to enter some of my horse portraits into some Photographic Societies Competitions.

I entered this photo of a client’s horse into a Monthly Competition with The Guild of Photographers.

I am proud to say that this photograph received a Bronze Award.

How I can to photograph this Cecil.

I have known Jan and her two horses for a few years and Jan has been a great help to me with my tricky mare and with ’The One and Only’ Spyda.
She owns two lovely horses and I have a soft spot for Cecil. So I asked if I could photograph them.

I arrived at Jans yard without my horses this day so I could concentrate on the portraits that I wanted to

she was busy plaiting. One of the ladies at the yard made me a coffee as we chatted about the horses.
